What a lovely dinner! The cooking class was great and the host knew a lot of history and information about the food, ingredients, and Sri Lankan culture. The best part was sharing the meal with the other guests and having lovely conversation around the table after. The host was so kind and funny! As a solo traveller it was so nice to connect with some new people in a meaningful way. Totally recommend this class! Best kottu I’ve ever had too.

Authentic Cooking Experience

We had a wonderful experience with the cooking class, including a tour through the spice garden. We learned a lot about the different spices, their uses, and traditional Sri Lankan cooking. The couple who hosted the class were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the experience feel very authentic and personal. We had a great time and would recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

Wonderful home-made Sri Lankan cuisine served with warmth and hospitality

It was a fantastic experience for my whole family. Introduced by Lanka Excursions Holidays, we visited Nirosha's lovely home. She cooked a delicious home-made Sri Lankan meal, followed by an exploration of her lovely herb and spice garden and a "lesson" in the outdoor classroom to learn how to write our names in Sinhalese script. Her entire family was warm and welcoming. We truly experienced a genuine Sri Lankan home visit.
