From the Negombo bus stand, take a local bus heading towards Uswetakeiyawa. Buses to Uswetakeiyawa are frequent and usually marked with their destination on the front. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Keep an eye out for landmarks like the Negombo Lagoon as you approach. Get off at the Uswetakeiyawa bus stop.

Alternatively, from anywhere in Negombo, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you directly to Muthuraja Wela. Simply tell the driver 'Muthuraja Wela in Uswetakeiyawa'. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
