From central Negombo, head to the main road (Colombo - Negombo Road). You can flag down a Tuk Tuk, which is a common mode of transport in the area. Tell the driver you're going to Muthurajawela Visitor Centre in Bopitiya. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. The driver will typically take you directly to the entrance of the visitor centre.

From the Negombo Bus Station, catch a bus heading towards Bopitiya or Pamunugama. Ensure to ask the conductor to let you know when you reach the Muthurajawela area. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you get off, walk about 500 meters towards the Muthurajawela Visitor Centre. You can ask locals for directions if needed.
