Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Gampaha town, head southeast on Colombo - Kandy Road (A1). Continue for about 6 km until you reach the Ragama junction. At the junction, turn left onto the Lankamatha Road. The Basilica of Our Lady of Lanka will be approximately 2 km down this road on your left. There is ample parking available near the Basilica.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Gampaha town, you can take a bus heading towards Ragama. Look for buses labeled 'Ragama' or 'Kandana'. The bus fare is approximately LKR 30-50. Once you reach Ragama, get off at the Ragama bus station. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 km) or take a tuk-tuk (fare around LKR 100-150) to the Basilica. If walking, exit the bus station, head south on Lankamatha Road, and continue straight until you see the Basilica on your right.

  • Public Transportation - Train

    Take a train from Gampaha Railway Station towards Colombo. Get off at Ragama Railway Station, which is about a 20-minute ride. The train fare is around LKR 50-100. From Ragama Railway Station, you can walk to the Basilica (approximately 1.5 km). Head southeast from the station onto Lankamatha Road and continue until you reach the Basilica on your left.
