If you're driving from Jaffna, take the A9 road south towards Colombo. After approximately 4 hours of travel, you will reach the outskirts of Colombo. Follow signs for the A1 highway towards Colombo city center. Once in Colombo, navigate to Prof Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha, where the Sri Lanka Planetarium is located. Look for parking options nearby, as parking can be limited in the city.

From Jaffna, take a bus to Colombo which typically takes around 6-8 hours. Buses leave frequently from the Jaffna bus station. Once you arrive at the Colombo central bus station (Pettah), you can take a taxi or an Uber to Sri Lanka Planetarium located at Prof Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha. The taxi ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes and costs around 400-600 LKR.
