Car
If you're traveling by car, head out from the center of Nuwara Eliya towards the A5 road. Follow the A5 for about 6 km. You will start to see signs for Elgin Front Fall. Turn onto a smaller road that leads to the falls. The last part of the journey will be on a gravel road, so drive carefully. Parking is available near the falls.
Public Transportation
To reach Elgin Front Fall by public transportation, take a bus from the Nuwara Eliya bus station heading towards Kandy. Inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at the nearest stop for Elgin Front Fall. This will typically be around 6 km from the center of Nuwara Eliya. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 km along a dirt path. Be prepared for a bit of an uphill trek.
Walking
If you've reached the nearest bus stop, continue your journey on foot. Follow the dirt path leading towards the sound of the water. The path can be steep and somewhat rugged, so wear appropriate footwear. It may take approximately 15-20 minutes to walk to the falls from the bus stop.
