Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
From the center of Nuwara Eliya, head southeast towards the Nuwara Eliya Post Office. Continue straight on Main Street until you reach the junction with the Kandy Road (A5). Turn right onto Kandy Road and walk approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club on your left. Continue straight until you reach the fork in the road after the golf club, then take the left fork onto Rajapihilla Mawatha. The YMBA is located a short distance ahead on your right.
Tuk-tuk
If you prefer not to walk, you can hire a tuk-tuk from any point in Nuwara Eliya. Simply ask the driver to take you to 'YMBA on Rajapihilla Mawatha'. The ride should take around 10 minutes depending on traffic. Just let the driver know you want to go to the auditorium, and they will know the way.
Public Transport (Bus)
To use public transport, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located near the Post Office. Take a bus heading towards Kandy and ask the conductor to drop you off at the stop closest to Rajapihilla Mawatha. Once you get off, walk along Rajapihilla Mawatha towards the auditorium, which will be on your left side after a short walk.
