If you are already at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the Bathing Place is just a short walk away. Exit the orphanage and head south towards the river. Walk along the road that runs parallel to the riverbank. You will notice a path leading towards the water where the elephants bathe. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to the Bathing Place. The journey should take approximately 10-15 minutes on foot.
Car
If you prefer to drive, exit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and head south on the main road. Follow the signs towards Molagoda. The Bathing Place is located at 795X+WG9, Molagoda, which is a short distance away from the orphanage. The drive should take around 5 minutes. There is limited parking available near the Bathing Place, so be mindful of where you park.
Tuk-tuk
For a local experience, consider hiring a tuk-tuk from the orphanage to the Bathing Place. Negotiate a fare before starting your journey; it should cost around 200-300 LKR for a one-way trip. The driver will take you directly to the Bathing Place, which is very close to the orphanage. The ride will take approximately 5 minutes.
Public Bus
If you are using public transportation, you can take a local bus from Pinnawala to Molagoda. The bus stop is located just outside the orphanage.
