Getting There

Car
From Puttalam, head south on the A12 highway. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Thelgamu Oya. Turn left onto the B359 road. Drive for approximately 10 kilometers, and you will see signs for Wedda Peni Ella. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the waterfall area. Note that parking may be available nearby, but there might be a small fee depending on the specific area.

From Puttalam, you can take a bus heading south towards Anuradhapura. Ask the driver to drop you off at Thelgamu Oya junction. The bus ride is approximately 1 hour and costs around 100 LKR. Once you arrive at Thelgamu Oya junction, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you the remaining 8 kilometers to Wedda Peni Ella. The tuk-tuk fare should be around 400-600 LKR depending on negotiation.
