    If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Ratnapura city. Head north on the A4 highway towards Kegalle. After approximately 12 kilometers, turn right onto the B46 road towards Bogawantalawa. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers. You will see signs for Haritha Kanda Peak as you approach Bogawantalawa. Once you reach RP83+J3, you will find the entrance to the trail leading to the peak. Parking is available near the trailhead.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Ratnapura to Bogawantalawa. Buses run regularly from the Ratnapura bus station to Bogawantalawa and the fare is approximately 50-100 LKR depending on the bus type. Once you arrive at Bogawantalawa, you can either take a tuk-tuk to RP83+J3 for around 200-300 LKR or walk to the trailhead which is about 2 kilometers from the bus stop. Look for signs indicating the Haritha Kanda Peak trailhead.

  • Hiking

    After you reach the trailhead at RP83+J3, prepare for the hike. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the hike, as there are no facilities along the way. The trail can be steep in places, so wear appropriate hiking footwear.
