Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Ratnapura, head north on Main Street (A4 road) for about 1.5 kilometers. Turn right onto the Ratnapura-Wewelwatte Road (B1 road). Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Dehena Waterfall along the way. Look for a small road leading off the main road; this will take you closer to the waterfall. Park your vehicle at the designated parking area, and from there, it's a short walk to the waterfall.

    To reach Dehena Waterfall using public transport, start at the Ratnapura bus station. Take a bus heading towards Wewelwatte. The fare should be around 50 LKR. After about 30 minutes, get off at the bus stop closest to the Ratnapura-Wewelwatte Road. From there, you can either walk (approximately 1 kilometer) or hire a tuk-tuk for around 200-300 LKR to take you to the waterfall entrance.
