If you're traveling by car, start from Galle, which is a common point for tourists in Southern Province. Head east on the A2 road towards Matara. Continue straight on the A2 until you reach the junction near Wallawaya, then turn left onto the A18 road. Follow the A18 for about 25 km until you reach Udawalawe. Once in Udawalawe, follow the signs to Thanamalvila Road, where the Epic Safari Udawalawe National Park is located. The journey will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Ensure you have enough fuel, as there are limited petrol stations on this route.

Public Transportation - Bus
For public transportation, take a bus from Galle to Colombo and then another bus from Colombo to Udawalawe. Buses leave frequently from the Galle bus station; look for the ones headed to Colombo Fort. The fare is around LKR 150. Once you reach the Colombo bus terminal, transfer to a bus heading to Udawalawe. This journey costs around LKR 300 and takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Upon arrival in Udawalawe, you can hire a tuk-tuk to the park entrance, which should cost around LKR 500. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
