Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from Udawalawe National Park, start by exiting the park through the main entrance. Head north on the A4 highway towards Embilipitiya. After approximately 10 km, look for the sign for C.P. De Silva Rd on your right. Turn onto C.P. De Silva Rd and continue for about 2 km. The Ceylon 1850- Sri Lankan Agriculture Gem Mine and Village Experience will be on your left. Make sure to park in the designated parking area.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, first, take a bus from Udawalawe to Embilipitiya. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Embilipitiya, you will need to switch to a local bus heading towards Udawalawe. Inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at C.P. De Silva Rd. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the C.P. De Silva Rd stop. From there, it’s a short walk (about 10 minutes) down C.P. De Silva Rd towards the location which will be on your left.
