Walking
If you are in the main area of Unawatuna, head towards the beach and walk along Galle Road (the main coastal road). Keep walking in the direction of Galle. After about 3.5 km, you will arrive at the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project located at No. 13/A, Mahapalena. It’s on the same road, and you should see signs for the conservation project along the way.

Tuk-Tuk
You can hire a tuk-tuk from any point in Unawatuna. Simply tell the driver that you want to go to the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project, located on Galle Road in Mahapalena. The ride will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand or ask if they have a meter.

Public Transport (Bus)
From Unawatuna, walk to the main road and catch a bus heading towards Galle. You can board the bus from the main bus stop located near the Unawatuna beach area. Inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at the Kosgoda stop. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you get off, walk back a few meters to find the conservation project on Galle Road.
