Start from the Unawatuna Beach area, where you will find many signs pointing to Rumasala Kanda. Head east along the beach until you reach the end of the shoreline. Once you reach the end, you will see a small path leading uphill. Follow this path which will turn into a staircase. Continue ascending the stairs, and you will eventually reach a viewpoint that overlooks the bay. Continue on this path, and after approximately 15-20 minutes of walking, you will see a sign indicating the entrance to Rumasala Kanda.

If you are near the Unawatuna Temple, head southeast towards the beach. Turn left towards the beach and walk along the coast until you reach the foot of Rumasala Kanda. From there, follow the well-marked trails that lead up the mountain. The hike should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
