Car

If you're driving from Kitulgala, start by heading northwest on the A7 highway towards Ginigathhena. After approximately 10 kilometers, take the exit onto Kalawaldeniya Road. Follow this road for about 4 kilometers, and you will see signs pointing toward Aberdeen Waterfall. There is limited parking available near the waterfall entrance.

Public Transportation (Bus)

From Kitulgala, you can take a bus heading towards Ginigathhena. Buses leave regularly from the main bus stop in Kitulgala. The journey takes about 30 minutes, and the fare is usually around 50 LKR. Once you arrive at Ginigathhena, you will need to hire a tuk-tuk or walk to Kalawaldeniya Road, which is about 2.5 kilometers from the bus stop. Tuk-tuks typically charge around 300-400 LKR for this short trip.

Tuk-Tuk

If you prefer more direct transportation from Kitulgala, you can hire a tuk-tuk directly. This is a convenient option, especially if you're traveling in a group. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes and should cost around 800-1000 LKR. Simply inform the driver that you want to go to Aberdeen Waterfall on Kalawaldeniya Road.
