Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Colombo, take the E03 highway towards Kandy. After approximately 90 km, take the exit toward Dambulla and follow signs for Sigiriya. Continue on the A9 road for about 25 km. Once you reach Sigiriya, look for Thalkote Road. Yan Oya (යාන් ඔය) is located at the coordinates XQ52+5HX, Thalkote Rd. Ensure your GPS is set for precise navigation.

Public Transportation

From Colombo, you can take a bus from the Colombo Central Bus Stand to Dambulla, which costs around LKR 200-300. Once in Dambulla, transfer to a bus heading to Sigiriya. The fare for the Sigiriya bus is approximately LKR 50-100. After reaching Sigiriya, you can either take a tuk-tuk (approx. LKR 200-300) or walk to Yan Oya (යාන් ඔය) located on Thalkote Road.
