If you're staying in Sigiriya town, start by heading towards the main road (A12). Look for any signs pointing towards Sigiriya Rock or the Fortress. From the center of town, you can head east on the A12 road. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork, which will lead you directly towards the entrance area of Sigiriya. As you get closer, you'll see signs for the ticket counter. The ticket counter for locals is located to the right, just before the entrance to the fortress.

Alternatively, if you're near the Sigiriya Museum, exit the museum and turn right onto the main road. Walk along the road for about 500 meters until you see the signs for Sigiriya Rock. Follow these signs, and you will arrive at the ticket counter shortly after, on your left side.
