If you are traveling by car, head to the town of Kegalle. From Kegalle, take the A1 highway towards Colombo. After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards Mawanella. Continue on the B40 road for about 15 km until you reach the Pimburattewa Tank. There is parking available near the tank.
Public Transportation
To reach Pimburattewa Tank via public transportation, take a bus from Kandy to Mawanella, which runs frequently. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and costs around 100 LKR. Once in Mawanella, hire a tuk-tuk to Pimburattewa Tank, which should cost about 300 LKR and take around 15 minutes.
