If you're traveling by car, start from Kurunegala city center. Head south on the A6 road towards the town of Wariyapola. After approximately 5 km, look for signs directing you to Athugala Rock. Turn left onto the B83 road and continue for about 3 km. You will see a small signpost indicating the entrance to Athugala Rock on your right. There is a parking area available for visitors near the base of the rock.

To reach Athugala Rock by public transportation, take a bus from Kurunegala to Wariyapola. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes and cost approximately LKR 50-100. Once you arrive at Wariyapola, you can hire a tuk-tuk to Athugala Rock for around LKR 400-500. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to the entrance of Athugala Rock.
