Getting There

Car
Start your journey from the entrance of Yala National Park. Head north on the A2 highway towards Hambantota. Continue on this road for approximately 34 kilometers until you reach the town of Tissamaharama. From Tissamaharama, take the exit for the A14 road towards Anuradhapura. Stay on the A14 for about 63 kilometers, passing through landmarks such as Wellawaya and Monaragala. Keep an eye out for the signage directing you to Wilpattu National Park which is located on your left. Enter the park through the main entrance and ensure you have pre-booked your tickets as there is an entrance fee that varies depending on your nationality.
