Once you arrive in Marichchukkaddi, you may need to hire a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to reach Modaragam aru beach, which is about 5 kilometers away. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as prices can vary. Expect to pay around 500-1000 LKR for a tuk-tuk ride.

  For adventurous travelers already in Marichchukkaddi, walking to Modaragam aru beach is an option. From the center of Marichchukkaddi, head towards the coastal road. It's a scenic walk of about 1.5 kilometers along the beach path, taking approximately 20-30 minutes. Ensure you have adequate sun protection and water, as the area can be quite hot. This route offers beautiful views of the coastline and local flora.
