Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Paramaribo, head southeast on the Mgr. B. Nevenweg (also known as the Suriname Highway) towards the Brokopondo District. Continue on the Mgr. B. Nevenweg for about 60 kilometers until you reach a junction near the village of Brokopondo. Take a left turn onto the road leading to Brokopondo Meer Viewpoint. Follow the signs, and after approximately 10 kilometers, you will arrive at the viewpoint. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as facilities may be limited in rural areas.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Brokopondo Meer Viewpoint via public transportation, take a bus from Paramaribo to Brokopondo. Buses depart from the main bus station in Paramaribo. The journey usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and stops. Once you reach Brokopondo, you may need to hire a taxi or arrange for a local transport to take you to the viewpoint, as it is approximately 10 kilometers outside the town center.
