If you are driving from Åre to Skansen in Stockholm, start by heading south on E14 road. Follow E14 until you reach the junction with E45, where you will merge onto E45. Continue on E45 for about 4.5 hours until you reach the outskirts of Stockholm. Once in Stockholm, follow the signs for 'Djurgården' and 'Skansen'. As you enter Djurgårdsslätten, follow the signs to Skansen, which is located at Djurgårdsslätten 49-51. There is parking available nearby, but it may incur a fee, so be prepared for potential costs.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, start by taking a train from Åre to Stockholm Central Station (approximately 7 hours). From Stockholm Central, you can take the T21 tram towards 'Kungsträdgården' and get off at the 'Djurgården' stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Skansen. Follow the signs for Skansen, and enjoy the scenic walk through Djurgården. Remember to check the SL website for current ticket prices and schedules, as these may vary.
