If you are traveling by car, start from Örebro, the capital of Närke. Take the E18 highway towards Stockholm. After approximately 70 kilometers, take the exit towards Strängnäs (Road 55). Follow the signs for Strängnäs. Once you reach Strängnäs, follow local signs to Kalkbro National Preserve, which is located at 647 92 Strängnäs. There is free parking available near the entrance of the preserve.

To reach Kalkbro National Preserve using public transportation, first, take a train from Örebro Central Station to Strängnäs. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Strängnäs Station, you can take Bus 550 towards Stallarholmen. Get off at the 'Kalkbro' bus stop, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. The preserve is a short walk from the bus stop. Check the local bus schedule for any potential costs; typically, a bus ticket costs around 30 SEK.
