Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Lycksele by taking the E12 highway. From Umeå, it's approximately a 1.5-hour drive (about 100 km). Follow the E12 until you reach Lycksele. Once in Lycksele, take the exit for Brännbergsvägen and follow the signs to Lycksele Zoo, located at Brännbergsvägen 33. There is parking available on-site, and no external costs are incurred for parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Lycksele Zoo by public transportation, take a bus from major cities like Umeå or Skellefteå. From Umeå, you can catch a bus operated by Länstrafiken Västerbotten, which typically takes about 2 hours. Make sure to check the schedule in advance as bus frequencies may vary. Upon arrival at the Lycksele bus station, you can either walk (around 20 minutes) or take a short taxi ride to Brännbergsvägen 33 where the zoo is located. Expect to pay approximately 100 SEK for the taxi.
Taxi
