The park is an alcohol-free zone and has rules that manage which wheeled activities are permitted at certain times, reflecting its role as a municipal activity arena.

Drottningparken functions year-round as an outdoor urban space whose atmosphere shifts with weather: crisp winter surfaces slow activity and highlight the park’s sculptural lines, while long summer evenings fill it with informal sessions and families lingering on the lawns. Events and organised training occasionally alter normal use, temporarily introducing competitions or instruction that bring focused intensity to the bowls and street areas.

The skatepark operates as a public facility used at your own risk and includes age and equipment guidelines for different wheeled sports; for example, boards and certain wheeled toys are permitted daily while BMX, inlines and kickbikes have time-based restrictions and protective-equipment expectations. Users are asked to avoid glass and to observe the park’s alcohol-free policy; smoking is discouraged in the skate area.
