Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Gnesta. Head northeast on Storgatan towards Skogsvägen. Continue on Skogsvägen until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Gnestavägen (road 57) heading towards Nyköping. After approximately 1.5 km, turn right onto Alsgruvsvägen. Follow Alsgruvsvägen for about 2 km, and you will arrive at Alsgruvan, located at 646 92 Gnesta. Parking may be available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Alsgruvan via public transport, take a train from Stockholm to Gnesta Station. The journey typically takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Gnesta Station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located right outside. Take Bus 572 towards Järna and get off at the stop 'Alsgruvan'. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Alsgruvan site.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Gnesta Station. Taxis are usually available outside the station. The ride to Alsgruvan should take about 10 minutes, costing around 150-200 SEK depending on traffic.
