Mora Stones
Mora Stones
Uppland's grandest Iron Age hillfort with vitrified walls, Viking legends, and valley vistas amid rocky woods—history etched in stone and glass.
Broborg stands as Uppland's largest ancient hillfort, dating to the early Iron Age on a rocky ridge overlooking Långhundraleden's valley. Its double walls, uniquely vitrified through intense heating, remain strikingly visible amid leafy forests and hazel groves. Legends of Viking chieftain Grimsa add mystique, while marked trails lead to panoramic views and the pure waters of Trefaldighetskällan spring. This cultural and natural gem rewards explorers year-round with its rugged terrain and open meadows maintained by grazing animals.
