Walking
From the center of Ascona, head towards the lakeside promenade (Lungolago). Walk along the promenade heading south until you reach the boat pier. Here, you can take a ferry to Orta San Giulio. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of Lake Maggiore and will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Orta San Giulio ferry terminal, follow the signs towards the town center. After a short walk, you will reach Piazza Mario Motta, which is the main square in Orta San Giulio.
Public Transport
From Ascona, take bus line 1 from the Ascona bus station towards Locarno. Get off at the Locarno train station and transfer to the train heading to Domodossola. After a short ride, get off at Omegna station. From Omegna, take bus line 12 towards Orta San Giulio. The bus will drop you off near the town square. Follow the signs and a short walk will bring you to Piazza Mario Motta.
