Walking
Start at the main square in Ascona, Piazza Giuseppe Motta. Head south on Via Franchino Rusca. Continue walking until you reach the waterfront promenade. Once there, turn left and follow the promenade along Lake Maggiore. Enjoy the beautiful views as you walk. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Bellagio, which is directly across the lake. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Bellagio, disembark and head towards Via Eugenio Vitali. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Punta Spartivento, which is located at the end of the peninsula.
Public Transport
From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop at Via delle Macchine. Board the bus heading to Lugano. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lugano, transfer to a train bound for Varenna-Esino. The train ride takes approximately 50 minutes. After arriving in Varenna, follow the signs to the ferry terminal and take a ferry to Bellagio. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes. Once in Bellagio, navigate to Via Eugenio Vitali, which is about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal, leading you to Punta Spartivento.
