Walking
From the center of Ascona, head towards the lakeside promenade along the shore of Lake Maggiore. Follow the promenade until you reach the ferry terminal. Take a ferry towards Bellagio. The ferry ride will offer beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Once you arrive at Bellagio, disembark and walk straight along the main road (Via Roma). Take a right on Via Garibaldi, and then take another right onto Piazza della Chiesa. You will find the Basilica of St. Giacomo at Piazza della Chiesa, 27.

Start at the bus station in Ascona, which is located near the center. Take bus line 311 or 312 towards Menaggio. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Menaggio bus station. From there, walk to the Menaggio ferry terminal and take a ferry to Bellagio. Once you arrive in Bellagio, walk straight along the main road (Via Roma). Take a right on Via Garibaldi, and then take another right onto Piazza della Chiesa. The Basilica of St. Giacomo is located at Piazza della Chiesa, 27.
