From Ascona, walk to the Ascona ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Locarno. Once you arrive in Locarno, walk to the Locarno train station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal. From Locarno, catch a train heading towards Domodossola. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Domodossola train station, exit the station and follow the signs to 'Sacro Monte Calvario' which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop on Via alla Gerra, which is a short 5-minute walk. Board the bus number 1 towards 'Locarno'. Get off at the Locarno train station stop. From there, take the train to Domodossola. After arriving at Domodossola train station, exit and follow the signs to 'Sacro Monte Calvario', which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

If you prefer to hike, from Ascona, head towards the main road (Via G. Motta) and follow it northwest until you reach the 'Lago Maggiore'. Once you reach the lakeside promenade, walk along it until you reach Locarno. From Locarno, continue on foot to the train station and take a train to Domodossola. After arriving at Domodossola, follow the signs to 'Sacro Monte Calvario', which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.
