Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ascona, head towards the lakeside promenade, known as the Lungolago. Walk along the promenade in the direction of the nearby town of Locarno. After about 500 meters, you will come to the ferry terminal. Here, you can catch a ferry to Como. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes, and you can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Maggiore. Once you arrive at the Como ferry terminal, you will be in the heart of Como, which is a short walk away from the main attractions.

From Ascona, walk to the nearest bus stop located at Piazza Giuseppe Motta. Take bus line 2 in the direction of Locarno. After about 10 minutes, get off at the Locarno train station. From there, transfer to a train heading to Como. The train journey takes around 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Como train station, you will be just a short walk from the city center and main points of interest.
