    If you are near the Basel SBB train station, exit the station and head south towards Centralbahnplatz. From there, walk towards the Marktplatz (Market Square). Once you reach Marktplatz, continue east on Spalenberg until you reach the junction with St. Johanns-Vorstadt. Turn left onto St. Johanns-Vorstadt, and you will see St. Johanns-Tor on your right after a short walk.

    From the Basel SBB train station, take tram line 10 or 8 towards 'Basel, Bahnhof SBB'. Get off at 'Kleinbasel, Bankverein' stop. From there, walk along the Rhine river until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and head towards St. Johanns-Vorstadt. Continue straight, and St. Johanns-Tor will be located on your left. Note: A single tram ticket costs CHF 3.40.
