Tram
From the center of Basel, head to the nearest tram stop, such as "Bahnhof SBB". Take tram line 10 towards "Riehen, Grenze" or tram line 8 towards "Kaiseraugst". Get off at the stop "St. Johanns Tor". From the tram stop, you will see the St. Johanns-Tor directly in front of you. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes.
Walking
If you are near the Rhine River, walk towards the "Kleinbasel" area and cross the bridge, "Mittlere Brücke". After crossing the bridge, head straight on "Riehenring" until you reach "St. Johanns-Vorstadt". Turn left onto "St. Johanns-Vorstadt" and walk for about 10 minutes. St. Johanns-Tor will be on your right side. This walk allows you to enjoy the scenic views of the river and surrounding architecture.
Bus
If you are at "Basel SBB" (the main train station), you can take bus line 36 towards "St. Louis, Leclerc". Get off at the stop "St. Johanns Tor". The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. Upon exiting the bus, St. Johanns-Tor will be a short walk ahead.
