Walking
If you're starting from Basel SBB (the main train station), exit the station and head east towards the city center. As you walk along Centralbahnstrasse, continue straight until you reach the junction with Barfüssergasse. Turn left onto Barfüssergasse, which will lead you to the Barfüsserkirche. From there, continue straight until you reach the Market Square (Marktplatz). At the Market Square, look for the Town Hall (Rathaus) with its striking red façade. From the Market Square, head southeast towards Peterspl. (St. Peter Square) by following the signs. St. Peter Square will be just a short walk away.

From the Basel SBB station, board tram line 10 towards 'Freiburg' or tram line 8 towards 'Riehen'. Ride for 2 stops and get off at 'Marktplatz'. Upon exiting the tram, head towards the Town Hall (Rathaus) which is visible from the stop. From the Marktplatz, walk southeast along the pedestrian path towards Peterspl. (St. Peter Square). It will be a short walk and you will see the square ahead.
