Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the Breitenrain-Lorraine neighborhood, the Bear Pit (BärenPark) is easily accessible by foot. Start from Breitenrainplatz, a central point in the area. From Breitenrainplatz, head east along Breitenrainstrasse. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Grosser Muristalden. Turn left onto Grosser Muristalden, and the Bear Pit will be on your right at Grosser Muristalden 4. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    For those who prefer public transport, you can take the tram. Start at the nearest tram stop, which is Breitenrainplatz. Take tram line 9 towards Guisanplatz Expo. Get off at the next stop, which is 'Zytglogge'. From there, walk 5 minutes to Grosser Muristalden. Head south on Kramgasse, then turn left onto Grosser Muristalden to reach the Bear Pit. The tram ride costs CHF 4.40 for a single ticket.
