To reach the Observatorium Gornergrat from Zermatt, take the Gornergrat railway from Zermatt station. The train departs frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 33 minutes, and you will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The ticket price for a round trip is around CHF 92 for adults and CHF 46 for children. Once you arrive at the Gornergrat station, it is a short walk to the observatory.

For the adventurous, you can hike from Zermatt to the Gornergrat. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. The hike is about 9 km and offers breathtaking views of the Matterhorn along the way. Be sure to wear good hiking shoes and bring water. Once you reach the Gornergrat, the observatory is easily accessible from the main viewing area.

If you are driving, you can park your car in Zermatt, as cars are not allowed in the town. After parking, walk to the Zermatt train station and take the Gornergrat railway.
