Car
From Aosta, take the A5 motorway towards Courmayeur. Continue on the A5 until the exit for Morgex. Follow signs for SS26 towards La Thuile. Continue past La Thuile, and when you reach the junction for the SS27, take that road towards the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Once you reach the tunnel, park your car in the designated area, as Zermatt is car-free. From the parking area, take the train to Zermatt. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Zermatt, follow the signs to the Grünsee, which is a scenic walk of about 45 minutes.

From Aosta, head to the Aosta train station. Take a train towards Chivasso. At Chivasso, transfer to a train heading to Torino Porta Susa. From there, take a train to Brig. In Brig, transfer to a train towards Zermatt. This journey will take approximately 3.5 to 4 hours in total. Once you arrive in Zermatt, follow the signs to Grünsee, which is about a 45-minute walk from the train station.
