Public Transportation
From Zermatt, take the Gornergrat Railway (GGB) which is located near the Zermatt train station. The railway station is easily reachable by foot from anywhere in Zermatt, as the town is car-free. Purchase your tickets at the station (approximately 100 CHF for a round trip). The train ride takes about 33 minutes, and you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks.
