Car
If you are driving, take the A9 motorway towards Sion. Exit at Sion-Ouest (Exit 28) and follow signs towards Sion city center. Once in the center, look for Place Maurice Zermatten. There is limited parking available nearby, so consider using public parking facilities in the area.
Train
From any location in Valais, take a train to Sion. The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) operates frequent services. Upon arriving at Sion train station, exit the station and head towards the city center. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Château de Tourbillon. Follow the signs towards Place Maurice Zermatten and then uphill towards the castle; the path will be clearly marked.
Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer to take a bus, check the local bus schedules from your location to Sion. Once in Sion, you will need to walk to Place Maurice Zermatten, followed by a hike up to the castle. Be prepared for some steep inclines. Buses may require a ticket that costs around CHF 3-5 depending on the distance.
Walking
For those who are already within Sion, the castle is accessible on foot. Start at Place Maurice Zermatten and follow the signs leading to Château de Tourbillon. The walk is approximately 20-30 minutes and involves a steep incline, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a bit of a workout. The views from the castle are well worth the effort!
