Getting There

  • Train

    From Interlaken Ost train station, take the train towards Grindelwald. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Stay on the train until you reach Grindelwald station. Once you arrive at Grindelwald station, exit the train and head towards the main road, Dorfstrasse. The Grindelwald Tourismus information center is about a 10-minute walk from the station.

  • Bus

    From Interlaken, you can take the PostBus service directly to Grindelwald. The bus departs from the Interlaken West station. Board the bus heading to Grindelwald, which takes around 40 minutes. After arriving at Grindelwald, exit the bus and walk along Dorfstrasse for about 5 minutes to reach the Grindelwald Tourismus center located at Dorfstrasse 110.

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Interlaken, you can take a leisurely walk to the Interlaken Ost train station. Walk east along Höheweg street, then turn left onto the main road leading to the train station. Once at the station, follow the instructions for taking the train or bus to Grindelwald as described above.

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Interlaken to Grindelwald. Taxis are available at hotels and popular tourist spots. Just tell the driver to take you to Grindelwald Tourismus at Dorfstrasse 110. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.
