From Lausanne, head to Lausanne's main train station (Gare de Lausanne). Purchase a ticket to Neuchâtel, which is on the direct line. Trains run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Neuchâtel, follow the signs to the local train station (Gare de Neuchâtel).

From Neuchâtel, take a train towards Buttes. This train will take you to the small station of Buttes, which is the closest train stop to Creux du Van. The ride is about 25 minutes.

After arriving at Buttes station, exit and follow the signs towards Creux du Van. The trailhead begins just a short walk from the station. It’s approximately a 2.5-kilometer hike to reach the Creux du Van viewpoint. The hike will take around 1 hour. The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views along the way.
