If you are further away in Old Town, you can take the Metro Line M2. Head to the nearest Metro station which is 'Ouchy' or 'Lausanne Gare'. Board the train towards 'Croisettes' and get off at the 'Lausanne Flon' station. From there, exit the station and follow the signs for Old Town. Walk up the hill along Rue de la Mercerie until you reach Place de la Palud. The metro ticket costs around CHF 3.50.
