If you are in the Old Town of Lausanne, start at the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. Head down Rue de la Cathédrale, which will lead you towards the lakeside. Continue straight until you reach Place de la Palud, a popular square with a clock tower. From there, follow the signs towards the lake (Vallée de la Louve). You will walk down Rue de l'Ancien-Marché, which will lead you to the lakeside. Once you reach the waterfront, take a left and walk along the promenade until you arrive at Place du Port, where Vierge du Lac is located.

Public Transport - Metro
If you're further away in the Old Town, you can take the Metro Line M2 from the 'Ours' station (which is near the Old Town). Travel towards 'Vallard' and get off at 'Lausanne Gare' (the main train station). From there, exit the station and head down towards the lake. Walk along the waterfront until you reach Place du Port. The total cost for a single Metro ticket is approximately CHF 3.50.

Another option is to take a bus from the Old Town. Check the nearest bus stop for routes heading towards 'Place du Port'. Buses are frequent and will take you directly to the lakeside area.
