Bus
From Locarno, head to the Locarno Train Station (Stazione FFS) which is centrally located. Take bus line 70 towards 'Angera' from the bus stop just outside the train station. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Angera' stop. From the bus stop, walk towards Via Rocca Castello and follow the signs to Rocca di Angera, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.
Ferry
Make your way to the Locarno Ferry Terminal located by the lakeside. Board a ferry heading towards 'Arona' on Lake Maggiore. The ferry ride offers stunning views and takes about 45 minutes. Disembark at the 'Arona' stop. From there, you can take a local bus or walk approximately 30 minutes to Via Rocca Castello, where the Rocca di Angera is located.
Train and Bus
Take a train from Locarno to 'Laveno Mombello'. At Laveno Mombello train station, transfer to bus line 1 towards 'Angera'. The bus ride will last around 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Angera' stop. From there, it is a 15-minute walk to Rocca di Angera, following Via Rocca Castello up the hill.
