Ferry
From Ascona, make your way to the Ascona ferry terminal located near the lakeside promenade. Look for the signs directing you to 'Navigazione Lago Maggiore'. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Laveno. Ferries run frequently, but check the schedule for the precise times. Once on the ferry, enjoy the scenic ride across Lake Maggiore, which will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Laveno, disembark the ferry.

Bus
After arriving at Laveno, locate the bus stop near the ferry terminal. You will need to take the bus number 23 towards 'Leggiuno'. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Make sure to listen for the announcements or check the display for the next stop. Get off at the stop 'Santa Caterina' which is right next to the entrance of the Santa Caterina del Sasso.

Walking
Once you have arrived at the 'Santa Caterina' bus stop, you will see a path leading down towards the lake. Follow the path which will take you to the base of the monastery. It is a short walk of about 5-10 minutes, and you will be greeted by stunning views of the lake as you approach the entrance to the Santa Caterina del Sasso.
