Getting There

  • Train and Funicular

    From Muerren, walk to the Muerren Schilthorn cable car station. Take the cable car down to the valley station in Stechelberg. Once you are at Stechelberg, transfer to the bus that will take you to the Lauterbrunnen train station. Here, you will catch a train to Interlaken Ost. After arriving at Interlaken Ost, follow the signs to the Harderbahn funicular station, which is a short walk away. Take the funicular up to the Harder Kulm station, which is the 'Top of Europe' viewing platform.

    For more adventurous tourists, you can hike from Muerren to Gimmelwald and then to Stechelberg. From Stechelberg, follow the path to Lauterbrunnen and then walk to Lauterbrunnen train station. Once at the station, catch a train to Interlaken Ost. After arriving at Interlaken Ost, head to the Harderbahn funicular station and take the funicular to Harder Kulm.
