Getting There

Car
From Nendaz, head south on Route de Nendaz towards Sion. Continue on Route de Nendaz for about 15 minutes until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Route de la Station (signs for Sion/Zermatt). After about 10 km, merge onto the A9 motorway towards Brig. Follow the A9 for approximately 45 km. Take exit 38 towards Visp/Zermatt and follow signs for Zermatt. Once in Zermatt, park your car at the designated parking area, as Zermatt is a car-free village. From the parking area, take the local shuttle bus or walk towards the center of Zermatt. Grünsee is accessible by taking the cable car from Zermatt to the surrounding hiking trails.

Public Transportation
From Nendaz, take the PostBus from the Nendaz bus station towards Sion. The journey takes about 30 minutes. In Sion, transfer to the train station and board a train to Visp (approximately 25 minutes). At Visp, transfer to the train heading to Zermatt (this part takes about 1 hour). Once you arrive in Zermatt, exit the train station and follow the signs to the bus terminal. From there, you can take the local shuttle bus or walk to the cable car station. Take the cable car from Zermatt to access the trails leading to Grünsee.
